How this calculator works

Revenue is the selling price. Percentage fees are applied to the selling price, then the fixed fee is added. Net profit = revenue − product − outbound shipping − packaging − advertising − other costs − platform/payment fees. Margin = profit ÷ revenue × 100. ROI = profit ÷ estimated costs × 100.

Worked example

A $50 order with $18 product cost, $5 shipping, $2 packaging, $3 advertising, 10% platform fees, 3% payment fees and $0.30 fixed fees yields $15.20 estimated profit and 30.4% net margin.

Assumptions and limitations

All amounts must use the same currency. This model excludes taxes, currency-conversion charges, refunds and seller-specific fee rules unless you include them in other costs. Use the appropriate rates for your marketplace.

Can I use AED or INR instead of USD?

Yes. Enter every amount in the same currency; the on-screen dollar symbol is only the default display label. Currency conversion is not performed.
